A Ransom Payment and Over a Billion in Cash to the World’s Largest State Sponsor of Terrorism
PHOENIX – Arizona Republican Party Chairman Robert Graham today criticized Ann Kirkpatrick’s continued support of the Iran Nuclear Deal.
Just over a year ago, Ann Kirkpatrick voted for President Obama’s Iran Nuclear Deal. Since then, the news has not been good. The Wall Street Journal reported last week that the U.S. sent two planeloads of cash totaling $1.3 billion to Iran in the weeks after a $400 million ransom payment was made. The U.S. has conceded that the ransom payment may have been used to fund terrorism.
“A year ago, Ann Kirkpatrick put party loyalty ahead of the best interests of her constituents and voted for a deal that’s facilitated a ransom payment and over a billion dollars in cash to the world’s largest state sponsor of terrorism,” said Arizona Republican Party Chairman Robert Graham. “Ann Kirkpatrick’s continued support of the Iran Nuclear Deal is just another reason why she’s too liberal for Arizona.”
