Party Gets Community Leaders Involved for Final Turnout Push One Week Before Early Voting Begins
PHOENIX – This morning Chairman Robert Graham of the Arizona Republican Party announced the creation of the Arizona Republican Party Victory Board, a special committee comprised of Republican community leaders and operatives throughout the state who are coordinating various efforts to increase Republican voter turnout in the upcoming election.
“These board members have worked informally together for many months, and it’s time to publicize our efforts to show how serious we are about creating a Republican victory this November,” said Arizona Republican Party Chairman Robert Graham. “I am proud of each and every member of our Victory Campaign Board for the work they’ve already been doing on behalf of the party, and with four weeks to election day we’re going to see those results happening immediately.”
Republican voter registration exceeds that of Democrats by five percentage points, and Republican voters in Arizona had an eight percent higher voter turnout rate than Democrats in the November 2012 presidential election.
National Committeeman Bruce Ash stated, “We’ve laid the groundwork over the past two years so we could be successful now, and now is the time to execute our plans to engage voters, elect our party’s nominees, and prepare to win and govern on behalf of hardworking taxpayers throughout Arizona,” Ash added.
The members of the AZGOP Victory Campaign Board of Directors include:
Lori Klein Corbin
Rep JD Mesnard
Tom Van Flein
Other valuable members will be involved in the coming weeks as we look forward to having a strong collaborative effort to turn out Republican voters across Arizona.
